Summary
The Triumph Daytona 675 has 5 recalls spanning the 2006-2013 production run, with the most serious affecting 2012 models where missing throttle cable guides allow the cables to migrate into the steering stop, blocking steering movement and reducing the rider's ability to control the motorcycle. On 2012-2013 models, the anti-lock brake system can malfunction and lose its anti-lock function, allowing wheels to lock and skid during hard braking. The 2011 model year has a wiring harness for the evaporative purge valve that can contact the exhaust, melt, and short out the engine control module fuse, causing the engine to stall unexpectedly. Going back to earlier production, 2006-2009 models have a voltage regulator and rectifier that can overheat and stop charging the battery; once the battery drains completely, the engine stalls, leaving the rider without power in traffic.
