2 recalls across 3 model years
The Triumph Speed Triple R has 2 recalls covering the 2014 and 2016–2017 model years, with the most serious being a wiring defect on 2016–2017 models where the charging system wire can rub against the ABS modulator bracket, short out, and cause the engine to stall without warning.
On 2014 models, the rear shock absorber can have a damper rod nut that loosens over time, reducing the shock's ability to control suspension movement and raising the risk of losing control of the motorcycle.
