5 recalls across 5 model years
The Triumph Speed Triple RS has 5 recalls spanning 2018 through 2024, with the most serious affecting 2022 models where rear brake disc bolts can loosen, contact surrounding components, and lock the rear wheel mid-ride.
The 2022-2024 model years share a cooling system issue where the engine can overheat, the radiator fan motor can fail, and coolant can leak or spray onto hot components or the rider. Prior repair attempts on 2022-2023 models did not fully resolve this, as an earlier recall addressing the same fan overheating and coolant spray concern preceded the broader 2022-2024 campaign.
On 2019 models, the quickshifter assembly body can contact the gear change linkage and interfere with shifts, causing a missed gear or a false neutral and a sudden drop in acceleration. Going back to 2018-2019 models, brake pad friction material can separate from its backing plate, reducing braking force and extending stopping distances.
