3 recalls across 2 model years
The Triumph Sprint ST 1050 has 3 recalls spanning the 2005–2010 production run, with the most serious affecting 2005 models where a suspension bolt connecting the drag link to the drop link can fracture, allowing the rear suspension to collapse and the mudguard to press against the tire, causing the rider to lose control.
The 2005 model year also has a recall involving the optional accessory luggage rack system, where the slide carriage in the rear rack assembly can lack sufficient lateral movement, reducing stability and raising the risk of a crash. On the other end of the production run, 2010 models have an oil filler plug and dipstick that can be the wrong length, meaning the dipstick gives inaccurate oil level readings, which can allow the engine to run low on oil and seize.
