The 1999 model year has a separate steering concern: the steering assist cylinder's ball stud can separate from its socket due to wear, making the steering noticeably heavier and difficult to manage. On 1995 models, incorrectly installed brake S-cams on the rearmost axle of the tandem axle set can leave one or both wheels without braking force on that axle, extending stopping distances.
