VOLVO V40 Recalls

The Volvo V40 has 3 recalls spanning the 2001-2004 production run, with the most serious affecting 2003 models where a fuel rail end cover can develop a leak that, near an ignition source, creates a fire risk. On 2004 models, a vacuum leak can develop at the brake booster, reducing power-assisted braking and requiring noticeably more pedal force to stop the vehicle. On 2001 sedan and wagon models, a diode in the electronic climate control system can fail prematurely, shutting down the heater fan and disabling the defroster.
