The Yamaha Road Star Warrior has 2 recalls, both covering the 2002 model year, with the more serious being a pick-up coil lead wire that can break while the engine is running, causing an immediate stall with no ability to restart and raising the risk of losing control.

The second recall involves a throttle position sensor that can cause an unstable or erratic idle at a stop or during low-speed riding. If the engine stalls when the rider disengages the clutch in a low gear and then abruptly re-engages it, the rear tire can slip momentarily, which can destabilize the motorcycle.
