5 recalls across 4 model years
The Zero DSR has 5 recalls spanning 2018 through 2025, with the most serious being a twisted front brake hose on 2024–2025 models that can leak brake fluid and cause a significant loss of braking ability.
The 2024 models also have a separate wiring issue where the key switch signal wires can break due to improper routing, cutting drive power without warning while riding. On 2021 models, the DC-to-DC converter can be overwhelmed if the anti-lock brakes, lights, instruments, and any accessories are all drawing power at once, causing the converter to shut off and taking the ABS, lights, and instrument display with it. Going back to 2018, certain trim configurations have an emissions label that states the wrong model year, which is a compliance issue rather than a mechanical defect.
