Defect
Certain vehicles do not comply with CMVSS 1103 - exhaust emissions. The Emission Maintenance Reminder (EMR) light in the climate control module is either non-functional (will not illuminate) due to missing power and ground circuits to the bulb or, is missing entirely.
Safety Risk

Remedy
Jumper cables will be installed and the climate control module will be replaced where necessary.
