Certain vehicles do not comply with the requirements of CMVSS 1101 - Emission Device. Vehicles may have been built with a Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) label that has an inaccurate evaporative hose routing.
Safety Risk

Remedy
A correct VECI along with installation instructions will be mailed to involved vehicle owners. Dealers will be instructed to assist owners needing help with label installation.
