Defect
Certain vehicles equipped with the 5.9L Heavy Duty gasoline engine do not comply with the requirements of CMVSS 1101 - Emission Device. The emission system was not correctly programmed within the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and the Emission Maintenance Reminder Light (EMR) does not illuminate as required.

Remedy
The PCM will be reprogrammed (reflashed) with the proper EMR light calibrations.
