Defect
On certain Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 vehicles equipped with NP246 transfer case, the vehicle's Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) contains an incorrect calibration that could potentially result in inadvertent transfer case default to NEUTRAL. If this occurs and the park brake is not applied, the vehicle may roll away and cause an accident without warning.

Remedy
Dealers will reprogram the TIPM.
