4 recalls across 7 model years
The Acura MDX Sport Hybrid has 4 recalls covering 2017 through 2020, with the most serious being a fuel hose misrouting on 2017 models where the engine fuel feed and purge hoses can contact surrounding components, wear through, and leak fuel.
The 2019-2020 model years have a low-pressure fuel pump inside the tank that can fail entirely, causing the engine to stall while the vehicle is moving. On 2017-2018 models, the rear brake caliper pistons can develop gas pockets from an insufficient coating, reducing braking force and lengthening stopping distances. The 2017-2019 model years share a taillight issue where moisture enters the tailgate lid light assemblies, knocking out both the lid lights and the taillights and making the vehicle harder for following drivers to see at night or in low visibility.
