A fuel leak near hot engine parts raises the risk of fire.
The 2019–2020 model years have a low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank that can fail entirely, causing the engine to stall while driving. On 2017–2018 models, the rear brake caliper pistons can develop internal gas pockets due to an insufficient coating, reducing braking force at the rear wheels and extending stopping distances.
Across 2017–2019 models, moisture can work its way into the tailgate lid lights, causing both the lid lights and the taillights to go dark, making the vehicle harder to see from behind at night or in low visibility conditions.
