The Aston Martin V12 Vantage has 3 recalls spanning the 2006-2012 production run, with the most serious affecting 2012 models where the accelerator pedal arm can fail and cut engine power, leaving the driver unable to accelerate and raising the risk of a crash in traffic. The 2010-2012 coupe has a tire pressure monitoring system that delays its low-pressure warning until front tires are more than 25% underinflated, which is past the threshold where tires can overheat and fail while driving. Going back to the earliest production, the 2006 model year has a seat heater wiring defect that can keep the heaters running even when switched off, causing the seat surface to overheat and potentially burn an occupant or start a fire in the cabin.
