The 2012 Aston Martin V12 Vantage has 3 recalls, the most serious involving the accelerator pedal arm, which can fail and cut engine power entirely, leaving the driver without propulsion in traffic.
The interior door locks can also fail to release from inside the cabin when the car has been locked from outside, trapping an occupant. On the tire monitoring side, this recall applies to coupe models: the tire pressure warning light does not activate until front tires are more than 25% below the recommended pressure, meaning a driver can be running dangerously underinflated tires without any dashboard indication. Severely underinflated tires build excess heat under load and can fail while driving.
