Audi E-Tron Gt Recalls

The Audi E-Tron GT has 21 recalls covering 2022 through 2026 model years, with the most serious being a high-voltage battery short circuit risk on 2022-2024 vehicles where internal battery module failure can lead to a fire.

The battery fire risk is the most consequential issue across the lineup. On 2022-2024 models, battery modules can overheat and short circuit internally, creating a fire hazard. Prior repair attempts on some 2022 vehicles did not fully resolve the issue, and those vehicles require a second repair. Closely related in severity, front axle brake hoses on 2022-2024 models can develop tears, leak fluid, and cause a brake circuit to fail, resulting in a longer pedal stroke and extended stopping distances. On 2025 models, a retaining ring on top of the front air suspension strut can work loose, allowing the strut to dislodge and air to escape, which can cause sudden loss of handling and control. The same strut retaining ring issue also affects certain 2022 models.

On the occupant safety side, 2022-2023 vehicles have a wiring fault in the passenger seat sensor system that can cause the front passenger airbag to deactivate even when someone is seated, reducing crash protection. On 2022 models specifically, a wiring harness for the center rear seatbelt buckle can block access to the right rear child seat anchors, preventing a child seat from being properly secured. The onboard charging cable on 2022-2024 models can overheat at the outlet connection, raising a fire risk during charging.

Rear visibility comes up across several model years. A software error can prevent the rearview camera image from displaying correctly on 2022-2026 vehicles, and separate display-related issues on 2022 models can also cause the camera feed to go blank. On 2022 models, the high-voltage electric cabin heater can fail, leaving the windshield defroster unable to clear the glass; an earlier repair attempt for this issue proved ineffective on some vehicles, requiring a follow-up fix. The 2022 owner's manual lists incorrect tire pressure units, which can lead to improperly inflated tires and reduced stability.
