Summary
The Audi E-Tron GT has 16 recalls covering 2021 through 2025 model years, with the most serious being front air suspension strut failures on 2022 and 2025 models where a retaining ring can work loose, allowing the strut to lose air pressure and compromising steering and handling control.
The high-voltage battery is a recurring concern across several model years. On 2022 through 2024 vehicles, battery modules can short circuit internally and create a fire risk. Earlier repair attempts on some 2022 models did not fully resolve the issue, and those vehicles require a second repair. The front axle brake hoses on 2022 through 2024 models can develop tears that cause brake fluid to leak, which lengthens pedal travel and extends stopping distances.
On 2022 models specifically, there are several additional issues. The passenger seat occupant detection system can malfunction and disable the front passenger airbag even when someone is seated, meaning the airbag may not deploy in a crash. The center rear seatbelt buckle wiring harness can block access to the right rear child seat lower anchors, making it impossible to properly secure a child seat. The high-voltage cabin heater can fail, leaving the windshield defroster unable to clear the glass and reducing forward visibility. On the 2021 and 2022 model years, the rearview camera display can stop working, removing rear visibility when backing up.
Rounding out the 2022 recalls, the owner's manual lists incorrect tire pressure values, which could lead to improperly inflated tires and reduced vehicle stability.
