2022 AUDI E-TRON GT Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2022 Audi E-Tron GT has 15 recalls, the most serious being multiple fire risks from the high-voltage battery, which can develop an internal short circuit and overheat, and a suspension strut retaining ring that can loosen and cause sudden loss of vehicle control. On the braking side, the front axle brake hoses can develop tears, leading to fluid loss and a failed brake circuit that extends stopping distances. The passenger seat occupant detection system can also malfunction and disable the front passenger airbag even with someone seated, leaving that occupant without airbag protection in a crash. Two recalls address the right rear seat's lower child seat anchors, where the center seatbelt buckle wiring harness can block the anchor points and prevent a child seat from attaching properly. The high-voltage electric heater can fail, cutting cabin heat and disabling the windshield defroster, reducing forward visibility in cold weather; prior repair attempts under an earlier recall did not fully resolve this issue for some vehicles. The rearview camera display can stop working, reducing rear visibility when backing up. The owner's manual lists incorrect tire pressure values, which can lead to improperly inflated tires and reduced stability.
