5 recalls across 3 model years
The BMW 745Le xDrive has 5 recalls covering the 2019–2021 model years, with the most serious affecting 2021 models where debris inside hybrid battery cells can cause an internal short circuit and raise the risk of fire.
The 2021 model year also carries a brake system recall where a fault in the brake control module can disable anti-lock brakes and reduce power braking assistance, making stopping distances longer than expected. A separate but related braking concern affects 2020–2021 vehicles: engine management software can cut off brake boost during startup, leaving the driver with full mechanical braking but without the power assist that reduces pedal effort.
Two rearview camera recalls affect earlier production. On 2020–2021 models, a software issue can cause the backup camera image to disappear or appear only partially when reversing. On 2019–2020 models, a different fault can cause the camera display to show no image at all while backing up.
