BMW 750IL Recalls

The BMW 750iL has 3 recalls all affecting the 1995 model year, with the most serious being a rear suspension arm mounting eye on the right-side axle hub carrier that can crack and break while driving, causing sudden loss of vehicle control. The second equally critical issue on 1995 models involves the fuel delivery hoses: fuel can seep between the hose and the metal fuel line at either connection point, producing a fuel odor and creating a fire risk. On the suspension side, 1995 models are also subject to a front coil spring concern where road grit and gravel from winter driving conditions can work through the rubber lower spring mounts, forming notches that crack and eventually break the bottom coil of the spring, affecting ride height and producing noise while driving.
