The 1995 BMW 750iL has 3 recalls, the most serious being a fuel line hose that can seep fuel and a rear suspension arm carrier with a casting flaw that can crack and break while driving, each capable of causing a fire or sudden loss of control.
On the fuel side, a hose connection on either end of a metal fuel line can allow fuel to escape, producing a fuel odor and raising the risk of a vehicle fire. The rear suspension concern involves the right-side rear axle hub carrier, where a structural flaw can cause the mounting point to crack and break under normal driving conditions, leaving the driver with significantly reduced control of the vehicle. The third recall involves the front coil springs, where road grit and gravel from winter driving can work into the lower spring mounts, eventually notching and cracking the bottom coil of the spring and causing a drop in ride height along with noise while driving.
