3 recalls across 1 model year
The BMW HP2 Enduro has 3 recalls all affecting the 2006 model year, with the most serious being a rear wheel mounting flange that can crack, allowing the mounting bolts to loosen and the rear wheel to detach while riding, causing loss of stability and a crash.
The front suspension also has a recall where a threaded fastener on the Paralever link can work loose over time and separate from its housing, degrading handling in a way that can lead to a crash. There is also a fuel system recall affecting 2006 models that were previously repaired under an earlier campaign using a support ring remedy but did not subsequently receive a fuel pump replacement; those motorcycles can develop a fuel leak that, near an ignition source, raises the risk of fire.
