The 2006 BMW HP2 Enduro has 3 recalls, the most serious involving two separate crash risks: a front suspension fastener that can work loose and separate, and a rear wheel mounting flange that can crack and allow the rear wheel to detach.
The suspension fastener connects the Paralever link at the front and, if it loosens over time, can compromise handling to the point of causing a crash. The rear wheel issue stems from a cracked mounting flange that lets the wheel bolts loosen, leaving the wheel unsecured and the motorcycle unstable. There is also a fuel system concern affecting bikes that were previously repaired under an earlier recall using a support ring fix but never had the fuel pump replaced: the pump can leak fuel, and if that fuel contacts an ignition source, it raises the risk of fire.
