The 2009–2011 model years are affected by two additional recalls. A separate fuel pump concern on those earlier models stems from a prior repair that used a support ring fix without replacing the fuel pump itself; if that prior service was performed, the pump can still leak fuel and present a fire risk. On the chassis side, 2009–2011 models also have a rear wheel mounting flange that can crack, allowing the mounting bolts to work loose and the rear wheel to separate from the motorcycle, which can cause a sudden loss of stability.
