2011 BMW K 1300 S

The 2011 BMW K 1300 S has 3 recalls, the most serious being two separate fuel pump issues that can allow fuel to leak during operation and create a fire risk if an ignition source is nearby.

The fuel system concerns cover two distinct problems. In one case, the fuel pump itself can crack during riding and leak fuel. The other involves motorcycles that were previously repaired under an earlier recall using a support ring fix but never had the fuel pump replaced afterward, leaving a potential for fuel leaks that the prior repair did not fully resolve. On the chassis side, the rear wheel mounting flange can crack, allowing the mounting bolts to work loose and the rear wheel to lose its connection to the motorcycle, which can cause sudden instability and raise the risk of a crash.
