BMW R 1200 GS Recalls

The BMW R 1200 GS has 2 recalls covering the 2004 and 2013 model years, with the most serious being a transmission output seal defect on 2013 models where internal pressure can push the seal out of position, allowing transmission oil to leak onto the rear tire and cause a loss of traction. The 2004 model year has a separate issue where an undersized O-ring seal around the fuel pump housing allows water to reach the pump's electronics, which can cause the engine to stall or fail to start without warning.
