The 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV has 6 recalls, the most serious involving potential engine failure in vehicles with the 6.2L V8, and rear suspension bolts that can break and cause a rear wheel to fall out of alignment.
On the drivetrain side, certain four-wheel and all-wheel drive models have a transfer case defect that can cause front or rear wheel lockup while driving. Two recalls address the same underlying brake fluid warning issue: a software fault in the brake control system can prevent the low brake fluid warning light from illuminating, meaning a driver may continue driving with reduced braking ability without any indication on the dashboard. There is also a lighting software issue where the daytime running lights fail to shut off when the headlights turn on, creating glare for oncoming drivers.
