CADILLAC XT4 Recalls

The Cadillac XT4 has 7 recalls spanning 2019 through 2025, with the most serious being a 2025 model year issue where the instrument panel cover may be missing the perforation that allows the passenger-side airbag to deploy, reducing crash protection for the front passenger. On 2020-2021 models, sensor contamination in the electronic brake boost system can interrupt communication between the sensor and the booster, causing the brake pedal to require significantly more foot force to slow the vehicle. The 2019-2021 model years have rear seat belt retractor fasteners that may be loose or missing, preventing the retractor from functioning correctly in a crash. The 2019 model year carries a related but distinct issue where one or both rear seat belt retractor mounting bolts may be entirely absent, leaving those belts unable to restrain occupants in a crash. On 2019-2020 vehicles equipped with the optional Surround Vision feature, the video processing module can lose contact with the rearview camera, causing the backup image to disappear while reversing. The 2021 model year has a compliance issue where automatic headlamps may not activate quickly enough as daylight fades, reducing visibility for the driver and other road users.
