The Dodge Mini Ram Van has 3 recalls spanning the 1984-1988 production run, the most serious being a fuel tank defect on 1988 models where a weak or punctured section of the tank can leak fuel and start an underbody fire that puts occupants at risk. A second 1988 recall involves a related fuel tank issue where a poorly welded seam between the upper and lower tank halves can also allow fuel to leak and ignite if an ignition source is present. Going back to the earliest production, 1984 models have a compliance recall involving the rearview mirror labeling, which does not meet Canadian safety standards for mirror identification.
