The 2005 Dodge Stratus has 3 recalls, the most serious involving a right front steering knuckle that can crack and separate from the upper control arm, causing a sudden loss of steering control and a crash.
The rear seatbelt system also has a concern: on sedan models, the mounting bolts securing the left and right rear outboard seatbelt retractors and turning loops may not have been tightened properly, which means those belts can pull free in a crash and leave rear passengers without adequate restraint. There is also a passenger-side sun visor that can detach and fly rearward into the cabin, raising the risk of injury to occupants seated behind it.
