Ducati Mts1200 Recalls

The Ducati MTS1200 has 5 recalls covering 2010-2011 model years, with the most serious being an electronic steering lock that can fail to disengage when starting the motorcycle on 2010-2011 models, leaving the rider unable to steer and raising the risk of a tip-over or collision.

The 2010 model year carries the remaining four recalls. The steering head can work loose if an incorrect screw was installed during assembly, reducing the rider's ability to steer accurately. The throttle cables on 2010 models can chafe against the upper edge of the radiator over time, fraying to the point where throttle response becomes unpredictable and speed control is lost. On 2010 Multistrada 1200 S Touring Edition models specifically, the center stand mounting screws can loosen and allow the stand to shift out of position while riding, creating a hazard to control and stability. There is also a fuel injection issue on 2010 MTS 1200S models where the engine can stall when downshifting or maneuvering with the clutch disengaged and the engine at idle.
