The 2010 Ducati Multistrada 1200 has 5 recalls, with the most serious concerns centered on steering and rider control: a loose steering head can develop during operation, and a software issue with the hands-free device can cause the electronic steering lock to stay engaged after startup, leaving the rider unable to steer.
The throttle cables can chafe against the upper edge of the radiator during normal riding, wearing through the cable and causing erratic or unresponsive throttle response. On certain Touring Edition models, the center stand mounting screws can work loose, allowing the stand to shift out of position and interfere with the motorcycle's handling. There is also a fuel injection concern: downshifting or maneuvering with the clutch disengaged and the engine at idle can cause the engine to stall unexpectedly.
