DUCATI MULTISTRADA 1200S Recalls

The Ducati Multistrada 1200S has 4 recalls spanning the 2010–2016 model years, with the most serious affecting 2010 models where the throttle cable can chafe against the radiator, causing the throttle to stick open or become unresponsive while riding. On 2015–2016 models, the side stand can break due to an undersized support tube, causing the motorcycle to fall over when parked and raising the risk of injury to anyone nearby. Going back to the 2010 model year, two additional issues exist: an incorrect screw in the steering head assembly that could affect steering integrity, and a center stand pivot screw that can back out during normal use, allowing the stand to detach and either contact the rear wheel and final drive or drag on the ground, either of which can cause loss of control.
