The 2010 Ducati Multistrada 1200S has 3 recalls, the most serious being a throttle cable that can chafe against the radiator edge, seize the throttle open, and leave the rider unable to reduce engine power while moving.
The center stand also has a recall: the pivot screw can back out during normal riding, causing the stand to detach and drop onto the road or contact the rear wheel and final drive, either creating a road hazard for other vehicles or locking up the rear wheel. There is also a steering concern involving an incorrect screw installed in the steering head assembly; while the filed notice does not detail a specific failure mode, the steering head is a critical structural junction that keeps the front fork aligned and responsive, and a wrong fastener there can affect the integrity of the front end under load.
