5 recalls across 6 model years
The Ducati Scrambler has 5 recalls covering 2015 through 2021 model years, with the most serious affecting 2018-2021 Scrambler 1100 models, where the exhaust valve cable can contact the main positive battery wire, cause a short circuit, and start a fire.
On 2021 Scrambler 800 Night Shift models, the front and rear turn signals may not flash brightly enough for other drivers to see, raising the risk of a collision when changing lanes or turning.
Going back to earlier production, 2015-2016 models have a side stand pivot nut that can detach, causing the side stand position sensor to stop working correctly. When that happens, the engine can stall while riding or the motorcycle can be ridden with the stand still deployed, either of which can cause a crash. The 2015 model year has a related but distinct issue where the side stand pivot bolt threads are too short to grip the locking nut, which can also allow the pivot to loosen and the sensor to misread the stand's position, stalling the engine or preventing the motorcycle from starting.
