FERRARI 360 MODENA F1 Recalls

The Ferrari 360 Modena F1 has 5 recalls, all affecting the 1999 model year, with the most serious being a brake fluid reservoir hose that can deteriorate from contact with brake fluid, fail, and cause a significant loss of braking efficiency. A separate brake system recall covers the anti-lock braking and traction control computer, which can carry a production error that disables the ABS feature while triggering the brake warning light. On the engine side, the starter ring gear attaches to the clutch assembly with three mounting screws that can fracture or fail, allowing the ring gear to separate entirely. The airbag control unit mounting can weaken over time, leaving the computer unable to reliably detect a crash and deploy the airbag. There is also a software error in the instrument cluster where the electronic brake distribution warning light can fail to illuminate, meaning a driver with an active brake system fault would receive no visual indication and could continue driving without knowing.
