2 recalls across 1 model year
The Ford F-650 Incomplete Chassis has 2 recalls, both affecting 2024 models and both involving the risk of unintended rollaway: the transmission park pawl can fail to fully engage, and the parking brake lever can release without pressing the release button.
On the transmission side, a casting defect can prevent the park pawl from locking the transmission in park, meaning the vehicle can roll even when the driver believes it is secured. Separately, the parking brake mechanism can release on its own without the driver pressing the release button, removing a second layer of protection against unintended movement. Both conditions raise the risk of a crash or injury, particularly when the vehicle is parked on any incline.
