2 recalls across 1 model year
The Ford F-700 has 2 recalls, both affecting the 1995 model year, with the more serious being a steering defect on low-profile models with 6,000 or 7,000 lb. rated front axles where the draglink can contact the front axle I-beam and interfere with steering control. The second recall affects 1995 models equipped with the 7.0-liter LPG or 7.0-liter EFI gasoline engine that also have the optional cab floor pan reinforcements. On those vehicles, wiring can become pinched between the cab reinforcements and the frame, wear through its insulation, and short circuit, creating heat buildup and arcing that raises the risk of an electrical fire.
