The Ford LTD II has 2 recalls, both affecting 1977 models, with the more serious being a fuel hose leak on vehicles equipped with 351 or 400 Cleveland engines where a rubber hose at the carburetor can weep fuel into the engine compartment and create a fire risk. The second recall covers 1977 models with 302, 351, or 400 cubic inch engines paired with air conditioning, where a flexible cooling fan blade can fatigue, crack, and break free from the fan assembly. A separating blade can strike and damage surrounding underhood components, and if the hood is open, the fragment can injure anyone standing nearby.
