2 recalls across 2 model years
The Ford P Series has 2 recalls covering 1973 and 1975 model years, with the more serious being a cooling fan defect on 1973 P500 and P600 vehicles where fatigue cracks can develop in the fan blades or support arms, causing pieces to break free without warning and damage engine components or injure anyone nearby.
The 1975 P500 and P600 models have a brake light switch installed on the low-pressure side of the hydraulic system, meaning light pedal applications may not activate the stop lamps at all. Braking ability is unaffected, but following drivers receive no visual warning that the vehicle is slowing.
