The 2022 Ford Ranger has 6 recalls, the most serious involving two separate fire risks: a cracking engine block heater that can short circuit when plugged in, and fuel line connections on 2.3L-equipped trucks that can leak fuel.
The windshield on certain vehicles may not be properly bonded and can detach in a crash, raising the risk of injury to occupants. On the visibility side, a software defect can cause the rearview camera to display a blank image when reversing, reducing the driver's view behind the vehicle. There is also a label issue: the Tire and Loading Information label on some trucks states an incorrect load capacity, which can lead to an overloaded vehicle and raise the risk of a crash.
