The Ford Van Conversion has 2 recalls, both involving seat anchorage, with the more serious being a 1989 model year issue where incorrectly welded seat bases may not adequately secure the seats or their seatbelt anchor points, raising the risk of seats breaking free in a crash. On 1990 models, incorrect washers under the chassis floor can compromise how the seat mounts attach to the vehicle structure, similarly reducing the ability of the seats to stay in place during a collision.
