2 recalls across 2 model years
The Harley-Davidson FLDE has 2 recalls, both affecting 2018-2019 models, where a rear shock absorber fastener or mounting tab can break and allow the shock adjuster to contact and damage the rear tire, causing a sudden loss of tire pressure and potential loss of control.
Both recalls describe the same underlying failure mode on the rear suspension: a component securing the shock absorber adjuster breaks free, the adjuster then rubs against the rear tire, and the resulting tire damage can cause rapid pressure loss while riding. The 2018 and 2019 model years are the only ones affected on this model.
