3 recalls across 8 model years
The Honda CB300R has 3 recalls spanning 2018 through 2025, with the most serious affecting 2019 models where a circlip on the transmission's main shaft can detach, allowing gears to misalign and either cause the motorcycle to lurch forward unexpectedly at engine start or lock the transmission and rear wheel while riding.
Across all 2018-2025 model years, the headlight can flicker or go dark while riding, reducing the rider's ability to see the road ahead and making the motorcycle harder for other traffic to spot. This issue was also separately identified on 2019 models and remains the same underlying problem regardless of model year.
