The 2019 Honda CB300R has 3 recalls, the most serious involving a transmission component that can detach and cause the bike to lurch forward unexpectedly at startup or lock the rear wheel while riding. A small circlip on the transmission's main shaft can come loose, allowing gears to fall out of alignment. When this happens, the transmission can snap from neutral into gear during engine start, causing unexpected forward movement, or it can seize the transmission and rear wheel without warning while underway. On the lighting side, the headlight can flicker or cut out entirely while riding, reducing how well the rider can see the road ahead at night or in low-light conditions.
