4 recalls across 4 model years
The Honda CBR650R has 4 recalls covering 2020–2025 model years, with the most serious affecting 2024 models where the gear shift arm fasteners can loosen and fall off, leaving the rider unable to change gears while in traffic.
The 2024–2025 model years share a wiring issue where engine vibration can wear through the turn signal switch wire harness and blow a fuse, cutting out the turn signals, brake light, speedometer, and horn all at once. On 2024 models specifically, there is a related but separate wiring concern where the same harness can chafe against the cowl stay bracket, causing the front and rear turn signals, brake lights, horn, speedometer, tail lights, and license plate light to stop working.
On 2020–2021 models, the rear reflector lens can fail to reflect brightly enough, reducing how visible the motorcycle is to drivers approaching from behind.
