4 recalls across 4 model years
The Honda CBR650R has 4 recalls covering 2020-2025 model years, with the most serious affecting 2024-2025 models where engine vibration can damage the turn signal switch wiring, blow a fuse, and simultaneously knock out the turn signals, brake light, speedometer, and horn.
The 2024 model year has two additional recalls. The gear shift arm fasteners can loosen and fall off, leaving the rider unable to change gears while in motion. There is also a separate wiring routing issue on 2024 models where the turn signal harness can contact the cowl stay bracket, wear through, and cause the front and rear turn signals, brake lights, horn, speedometer, tail lights, and license plate light to stop working. On 2020-2021 models, the rear reflector lens can fail to reflect with enough brightness, making the motorcycle harder for other drivers to see from behind.
