The Honda CBR929RR has 4 recalls all affecting the 2000 model year, with the most serious being a fuel hose that can crack and leak high-pressure fuel near ignition sources, creating a fire risk on any 2000 model that has had routine maintenance involving the fuel tank. The fuel hose issue stems from lifting the front of the fuel tank too far during servicing, which stresses the hose internally in a way that leaves no visible damage but can eventually cause it to crack and spray fuel. The second recall covers the clutch assembly on 2000 models: when the clutch lever is held at the friction point rather than fully released during high-rpm starts, the clutch discs vibrate severely under load, which can crack the clutch outer and send large fragments separating from it while the engine is under power.
