What can fail
The clutch disc can vibrate and wear unevenly during partial engagement at high engine speeds. This stress can crack the clutch outer, causing pieces to separate and potentially lock the rear wheel, stop the engine, or crack the crankcase. The clutch lever shaft may also break, trapping the clutch in engaged position.
What the fix does
Dealers will install a redesigned clutch kit and a new redesigned clutch lift lever.
