5 recalls across 3 model years
The Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 has 5 recalls covering 2022 through 2024 model years, with the most serious being a water intrusion defect on 2022-2023 models where moisture entering the electronic throttle control unit can cut drive power without warning while riding.
The 2024 model year has two separate issues worth knowing about. The fuel filler cap seal can develop cracks and allow fuel to leak, raising the risk of fire. There is also an engine control software defect that can cause the engine to stall at low rpm, again dropping drive power unexpectedly while in traffic. On 2022 models, the same water-in-throttle-unit failure described above can cause the engine to drop to idle suddenly rather than respond to throttle input.
