The 2019-2020 model years are also subject to a clutch slave cylinder defect that can render the clutch inoperable, removing the rider's ability to disengage the transmission and raising the risk of a crash. There is also a structural issue on these same years where the gear teeth on the license plate holder and swingarm can be misaligned, allowing the rear axle nut to work loose and the license plate bracket to contact the spinning rear wheel, which can cause a crash.
