The 2020 Husqvarna Svartpilen 701 has 3 recalls, the most serious being a fuel leak at the fuel level sensor and fuel pump mounting area that raises the risk of fire if an ignition source is nearby.

A second recall involves the clutch slave cylinder, which can fail and leave the clutch inoperable. Without a working clutch, the rider loses the ability to disengage the engine from the transmission, making it difficult to control speed or come to a controlled stop. There is also a structural concern with the rear of the bike: the gear teeth on the license plate holder and swingarm can be misaligned, which may allow the rear axle nut to work loose. If that happens, the license plate bracket can shift into contact with the spinning rear wheel, creating a sudden loss of rear wheel control.
